A Bouquet of Bridesmaids For The Bride in Portofino

Cleo and Jon’s Beach Blessing in Portofino was relaxed and fun with guests attending in beach style flip flops. There was definitely an air of celebration, also because it was the Father of The Groom’s birthday and the ceremony was the perfect present.

We corresponded at length before the day of the ceremony about the multi cultural and lingual aspect of the welcome speech. Cleo requested that we learn a Vietnamese greeting to welcome her parents (and her mother in particular) and we were more than happy to oblige. It is always such a pleasure for us to learn new foreign phrases of welcome and to witness the joining together of two young people from different cultural origins.

The Bridesmaids each held oriental parasols and with their dresses of various hues of red, yellow and orange, they looked like a collection of colourful flowers, forming a beautiful human bouquet to complement the Bride’s soft white, lacy dress. The effect, offset by the setting sun was breathtaking, as you can see by these great photos.

Everyone who plans a wedding knows the complexity and stress of juggling all the details involved, especially when planning from another country. One being to find the perfect officiant to wed you to your significant other. Jonathan and I are truly thankful for Alice leading us to you. Both of you have been absolutely gracious and extremely kind from the very beginning. Though we didnt get to meet until the day of the wedding due to our travel plans, you both made the ceremony so effortless and heartfelt. We loved the poetry, readings, and the personalizations of our wedding. You truly made it ours. And for all the energy, thought, and even the impressive Vietnamese phrases you learned just for my family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I would recommend you to any looking couple. I wish you could come to the States to wed our engaged friends! We look forward to seeing you in the future…maybe when we revisit Italy for our anniversary.

Infinite blessings,
Cleo and Jonathan King
