There is a strong marriage between the culture and traditions of Ireland and Italy, which is reflected in the large numbers of Irish couples opting to celebrate their nuptuals in arguably the most romantic country in the world.
Paul proposed to Evelyn on a hill top in Fiesole, which commanded a stunning panoramic view over the city of Florence, which is said to be the birthplace of the Renaissance.
Their deep affinity with Tuscany led them to celebrating their special day in the countryside surrounding Siena. Villa Catignano is a very popular choice for couples and the gardens are perfect for outdoor ceremonies.
Evelyn fell in love with Paul’s charming personality and their choice of location reflected their wish to share the charm and sophistication of such a stunning Villa and countryside with close family and friends.
The ceremony was a perfect mixture of humor and tenderness, reflecting their true personalities. Paul told us that ‘no-one can make (him) laugh like Evelyn can!’ The vibrancy and vivaciousness of the Bride was infectious and definitely shines through in these stunning photos.
We adored Evelyn’s 1950’s inspired vintage wedding dress and veil.
Evelyn and Paul were a delight to work with, caring greatly about the content of their ceremony and the manner in which it was to be delivered. They also hired a string quartet, which was perfectly complemented the overall charm of the occasion. A charming location for a charming couple… and we wish them all the luck of the Irish for the rest of their lives together!
