Rachel and John’s tender love story began while sailing upon the Bosphorus Sea and the acquarian theme continued when they decided to marry on a Venetian Island surrounded by a lagoon on a glorious September afternoon.
It was an inspired choice, as so many couples decide to hold ceremonies on mainland Venice, which is of course extremely romantic but given the hoardes of tourists a more serene and less chaotic ambience was certainly conducive to a more relaxed wedding day.
Mainland Venice and its surrounding islands are world famous and particular destination favourites of the rich and famous, including scores of Hollywood stars past and present, politicians and notable members of certain European Royal Families.
Re-tracing the steps of the celebrated provided an interesting cultural context within which to enjoy a wonderfully close knit spiritual ceremony held in beautiful gardens, which are famous in themselves. The nature of the ceremony itself was immensely important to them both, particularly because members of Rachel’s family had travelled all the way from Singapore especially to demonstrate their love and support.
It was all plain sailing too in the company of the ever popular Andrea Pitti, the couple’s preferred photographer, who artfully accompanied Rachel and John around Venice by boat and gondola, snapping happily away, capturing unique moments they will certainly cherish forever
John’s primary concern was the happiness of his Bride and her family during their visit and it was his great humour and patient attentiveness which had attracted Rachel to John initially.
We know that his happiness was complete on seeing Rachel’s radiant countenance as she displayed her evident delight in being, literally, transported to another world… Venice contains so many architectural jewels but the most precious of these shore-side wonders was his beautiful Bride…
As they sail off into a Venetian sunset we bid them both a fond farewell, as well as health, wealth and happiness and sincerely hope they will return to re-live the emotions of a truly unforgettable experience.
