Romans are renowned for their sense of style… Valeria and Fabio, a very determined young couple from the Eternal City, decided upon an alternative to the more expected traditional indoor location, preferring instead to relish a romantic wedding day held in a beach setting by the sea on a sultry summer evening.
They also wished for an opportunity to express themselves without constraint. A traditional church wedding or a civil affair on its own didn’t feel quite right for them. Their sea side ceremony reflected their shared vision, with music playing the part of main protagonist.
There was a wonderful moment during which Fabio spontaneously emulated Jon Bon Jovi’s romantic plea ‘Thank You For Loving Me’ to the evident delight of the Bride!
The Groom also delivered an extremely emotional dedication to his lovely Bride at the beginning of the ceremony. It was clear that their love story had already been a driving force in forging their futures, both personally and professionally.
The realisation of their dream was a source of joy for their Italian families and friends, who couldn’t resist springing up at every available opportunity to snap the happy couple in paparazzi fashion… even during the ceremony!
They chose 7.30pm which was perfect for mid July, avoiding the uncomfortable heat that can so easily ruin hair and make-up. A light sea breeze and the subtle glow of a dusky sunset perfectly concluded the proceedings.
The beauty of a beach setting is also the exotic atmosphere that can be created with enticingly rich detail, such as an imaginatively adorned arabesque gazebo, ethnic style lanterns and romantic candlelight…all contributing to a sense of relaxation as well as celebration. A laid back air of tranquillity and serenity was very much what ‘gli sposi’ had hoped for.
Valeria and Fabio… the elements truly conspired to create a magical theatre of love, light and emotion, rendering a beautiful stage in which the tide was turned… and we hope, truly in your favour![]()
